I don't remember where it is, exactly, but I think it's under something like Maintain server. There you can choose your array controller and then set up any drives attached to it, including the MSA But if I do not find the utility I am going to try what you are recommending. When the server is "new" unconfigured you need to run the SmartStart CD to configure the System drives before you can get the OS installed. Good luck.
Got to love HP. I think its included in there. What other tools are included? I was able to download the ACU after several attempts. Anything the PSP wants to install I would let it. Is there anything special I need to do in order for the ACU to recognize the external storage I attached to the server? Thanks in advance for all of your help. You can only use Array Controllers.
Would you happen to know what the model number of an Array controller? Ebouza, I think all our MSA30 chassis were connected to their associated servers via array controllers some and some I don't know if there are any newer controllers for it or not. Forgot to mention, your Adaptec card will not work. It is only a SCSI controller, not an array controller.
Blister, Thanks for all your help. That's crazy. Would you happen to know where I can find an array controller that is cheaper then that? How much memory do the array controllers come with? Do you think that 64Mb of memory is enough? Check with Calhoun.
